Her I Is She This

for Mocrep

According to Katherine Hayles, equivocation is the additional (and often times unwanted) information that arises from translations, imitations, or even bad phone reception. In providing 3 men with the impossible task of imitating the recorder's pitches (where their words reference my request for doing so), I hoped to not only highlight, but also eradicate the imitative "failures" of the singers. In the second section, the three singers are demoted to their instruments, where the failures of imitation create larger and all-encompassing musical textures.
